The Giving Challenge starts tomorrow at noon...and we are beyond excited!! We're so grateful to The Community Foundation of Sarasota County, The Patterson Foundation, Manatee Community Foundation, John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, William G. and Marie Selby Foundation and the Herald-Tribune Media Group. These incredible organizations have made it possible for us to maximize our fundraising...and continue doing all the things the PTO does at Southside.
Did you know that the PTO provides funds to our school for field trips, sponsors events like Fall Festival (coming up) and organizes volunteers for events like the annual Uniform Giveaway?
Thank you all for your support and patience as we email, text and talk to anyone who will listen about The Giving Challenge. We now have a direct link to giving!! Woo Hoo!! Please visit http://givingpartnerchallenge.org/npo/southside-parent-teacher-organization to make your donation! Or click #givingchallenge16 (above) to be linked up directly. The site will go live tomorrow at noon!!
The Giving Challenge is a fundraising drive put on by The Community Foundation of Sarasota County. Last year, more than $7 million was raised in just 24 hours to benefit 449 nonprofits listed on The Giving Partner. This year, the Southside PTO is one of those organizations! The Southside PTO is a 501 (c)(3) and we have spent lots of time this past year completing our application.
We are so grateful to be a part of this incredible challenge! Because this is our first year, ALL of our donors are NEW donors. That means that donations are matched 2:1 up to $100. The minimum donation is $25.
In order to be matched, donations must be made online by visiting www.givingpartnerchallenge.org...the website will begin accepting donations on September 20th at noon and will end on September 21st at noon. Once you're there, search for Southside PTO and make your donation.
Thank you to The Community Foundation of Sarasota County with giving strengthened by The Patterson Foundation, as well as support from Manatee Community Foundation, John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, William G. and Maria Selby Foundation, and the Herald-Tribune Media Group.
